VIRGIN RADIO
In 2019, Virgin Radio Canada underwent a full brand overhaul with the intention of creating a more premium-looking brand that stands out amongst the saturated radio markets across the country.
I conceptualized the new brand by incorporating visuals inspired by different audio technologies. Vinyl records, digital recording software and traditional gig posters all influenced the new look, while trying to stick to the limited colour palette of the parent Virgin brand.
After the concept was fleshed out, I worked on the creation and templating of all branded items, including digital, print, motion and social media. I also worked closely with the 99.9 Virgin Radio Toronto team on creating a whole new morning show, Virgin Mornings with Adam Wylde, TJ and Jax. This included a full show package as well as photography, where I worked with Canadian photographer Matt Barnes.
I also trained the individual station producers nationwide on best practices for creating branded works with limited design knowledge.
